Do you struggle with thinning hair or a receding hairline?  The PRP Hair Restoration and Re-Growth system is a non-surgical method that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to stimulate growth where hair is sparse.  This treatment is ideal for either men or women suffering from hair loss. This treatment uses a small sample of the patient’s blood to create a specially formulated serum rich with growth-stimulating plasma (PRP).  The PRP helps provide hair follicles with the necessary nutrients to grow by stimulating blood flow in the affected area. When PRP is used in conjunction with a Microneedling Pen, we can encourage hair growth in targeted areas. Using the Microneedling Pen, PRP can be distributed in the regions where hair growth is needed.  When the Microneedling Pen breaches the skin, it stimulates the patient’s blood flow, redirecting blood flow to the scalp, where hair growth is needed.  Treatments may vary depending on the amount of hair re-growth required.  Women with thinning hair may require only one treatment, whereas balding men will likely require up to three treatments, each one month apart.  For those concerned about the pain of the Microneedling, we can apply a topical numbing agent for added comfort (though most patients state that numbing agents are not necessary).  After treatment, patients should anticipate sensitivity at the treatment area for about 24-48 hours.  For lasting results, patients are encouraged to return for another treatment anywhere from 6 months to a year after the initial service.
